Nekaybaw Bey

img_6527     My name is Nekaybaw Bey and I’m in the 12th grade. Currently, my major is Creative Writing, but I plan to major in Biology and Pre-Pharmacy in college. I love fashion and designing new things. Also, I have a passion for sports like soccer and tennis. I’m very excited to be a part of our school’s first graduating class and helping to create the yearbook.

Klea Dhima

img_6939     Hello, my name is Klea Dhima. Currently, I am a senior at String Theory High School and an Instrumental Music major. Also, I participate in many extracurriculars, such as soccer, NHS and Yearbook. I have been a part of Yearbook Club ever since it started and am excited to be apart of creating it during my final year here. Yearbook is important to me because when I graduate the yearbook will hold all the special memories I’ll make my senior year.

Jenna DiStefano

img_6521     Greetings! My name is Jenna DiStefano and I’m a senior. I have been a Fine Arts major since freshman year. Although art will always be something I carry along with me, my strongest interest is in neuroscience and biology. Working on the yearbook is something I’ve been passionate about since I was a sophomore and I’m very excited to be Editor-In-Chief as it is my last year in String Theory. This year’s product has the potential to be one of the most memorable books yet. I’m looking forward to working with the entire yearbook staff since we can all contribute our unique talents to bring this book to the next level. “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go no where.” – Carl Sagan

Raquel Fermin

To start this off, I am a senior! So you can imagine how excited I am to img_7254finish the year with positive vibes and amazing memories. So for me to make sure I capture those amazing moments and remember them I’m apart of the Yearbook committee. Being a senior and being on the yearbook committee both click, because you want to hurry up and graduate but also enjoy your time this being the last year of high school. You want to remember the time you spent with friends and teachers and remember the laughter and events you shared. Being on the yearbook committee means I can capture each and every one of those moments not only for me but also for you.

Elliott Francisco

img_6525     Hello, my name is Elliott Francisco. I am a senior at String Theory High School and a Band major. I am excited to be apart of yearbook because this is my last year at String Theory and I want to make the book as memorable as possible. I hope you enjoy this year’s book!

Taylor Grant

img_6531     My name is Taylor. I live with my mom, dad and sister. We have a cat named Nikko, a dog named Lexie and a bunch of unnamed fish. I’m 17 years old and I’ve been a student at Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School since ninth grade and I’m currently a senior. I wanted to join yearbook because I thought it was something cool to do and something everyone would have at the end of your senior year and I could say “hey I did that.” It’s a nice feeling to be apart of something that everyone can enjoy.

Mariyah Hernandez

img_6937     My name is Mariyah and I’m 17 years old. I was a Vocal major for two years then switched and I am now a Creative Writing major. This is my second year in yearbook and I’m really excited to make String Theory’s yearbook for the first graduating class. My main goal for yearbook is to take as many pictures as possible so that everyone can look back and see themselves in this book full of memories.

Naja Meeks

img_6530     Hello, my name is Naja Meeks. I’m one of the oldest seniors in my graduating class and I love to draw. I spend most of my days watching movies, drawing or going out to hang with friends. I love animals and currently have 2 hamsters, 2 hermit crabs, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 fish and 1 turtle. Fun fact about me: I’m the only left handed person in my whole household, so I guess that makes me pretty awesome. Anyway, it’s hoped that everybody will enjoy the yearbook this year and I will do my best to make it one to keep and look back on forever.

Michaela Renzulli

img_6935     Hello, my name is Michaela Renzulli. I’m a part of the 2017 graduating class at Philadelphia Performing Arts: A String Theory Charter School. Family, friends, and academics are the most important aspects in my life. Dancing school and sports come right behind. Since kindergarten, I’ve continued to uphold a 4.0 grade point average receiving First Honors each year. I participate in community service events, after school activities, National Honors Society, and Student Council; I was elected President of Student Council for the 2016-2017 school year and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. As a former Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School student, the arts have evolved into my culture. Although I adore each art, my interest was instantly grabbed by playing instruments. As an Instrumental major, I feel a sense of freedom when experimenting with the different strings. Other than playing the cello, I love to spend my down time baking!

Lila Vanni

img_6540     I’m Lila Vanni: an artist, writer, musician, and film geek. I enjoy many things such as watching movies, reading great literature, and exploring the world with friends. I hope to someday be a Pulitzer prize winning New York Times Best Selling author, film writer and creator, and songwriter, but until then, I am the Senior Co-Editor of Yearbook.
